Its just funny seeing comment that's are arguing about if it's live or not. 🤭 Majority of people don't really know what technicalities in the live singing but for some it's actually easy to hear if it's live and have a so called "splits" in that particular live singing cuz splits are given differently in each member depending on the range of vocals they going to use. But there are some groups that no longer use it also. And they are really noticeable.

I guess BTS and TXT is not here because they made an impact... has stable vocals, good stage presence and they always have fun while performing... I wish bh never went under Hybe

As singers, they're incredible dancers lol they can't sing even if their lives depended on that. So why does they have fans? I don't understand that, bcuz I could never be a fan of a "visual" group. I love music and care about music. I don't understand those type of fans who only likes bands or singers just because of their visuals and/or appearance 🙄

People love MR Removes when it shows their idols in a good light, but as soon as people call out if it's pre-recorded and show their imperfections, they turn against the MR Remove maker and come up with so many excuses. Like chill, y'all love to enjoy other idols being criticized until it's your own. I personally like Mr. Removes because I want to support groups that are putting in the work 24/7 and actually taking time to improve. I would rather support a group that sings 50%-100% live than a group that is lip-syncing 100% of the time. However, I understand idols might lip sync on music shows, as it's not important, but fans think their idols win based on who performed live, or better when it's sales and social media engagement. I expect the idol to know how to sing 70-100% live during concerts the most.

Great video explaining why Aespa is unique. Took me a while to like Ningning's vocal style and much preferred Winter's. Now I realize that it's because Winter is more similar to Taeyeon, whom I'm more accustomed to as a Gen 2 stan.

Firstly, I 100% agree with your Dreamcatcher and Idle decisions. Secondly, don’t hate me for this, but I would also switch Lia to lead vocalist and Yeji to main vocalist, just because that makes sense to me, though I love them both. Also, ik your video was about vocals, but I just wanted to say that even though Ryujin is my bias, she should not be center, while Yeji is way more center material Also there is a huge issue with Twice’s vocal positions. First off, Mina and Sana should be a lead instead of sub vocalists, and they’re already treated like ones. Nayeon should also be bumped up to main vocalist, which is also pretty obvious. Jeongyeon’s line distribution issue is also pretty saddening

I feel like Mr removed and this whole debackle with live singing is so stupid because it's not the point of kpop. Idols are USUALLY, divided into vocalists, dancers, rapper and visuals. That's because they aren't all supposed to be taeyeon level of singers, they are performers/entertainers, yes they will sing a few lines but the point is to put on a performance. And i feel like kpop fans nowadays only focus on it because they want to hate an idol or they want to act like thier fav is better someone else.

years a go i used to check MR removed video but i don't do it anymore because there no point to do it that when we know that some live (at least on musical shows) are pre recorded and or edited. and i would like request a big ranking of the big3 ggs from RV to BM, a individual ranking and why not following by a quick group ranking i think it would help many kpop fan like me that don't believe on the KVA system to locate the level of each members of those groups. good luck for your final !

Somehow the problem i have w SM ent. are how they manage their artists for their comeback only for 1 week being their minimum like Red Velvet does. SM always play safe with them so they put prerecord voices to perform and called it a WEEK. And we would never find any live vocal stage afterwards. No live show no festival and only SM concerts and YET they still perform w prerecord. My girls CAN sing live! Aespa too, damn I always try to find their live vocal performance for Drama and they ONLY did once for festival outside Korea and it was so good 😭

Btw maybe you have mentioned something about this, but I would DIE to see you make an ‘SM Main Vocal Ranking’ but with their BOY GROUPS. I know that you have done EXO separately (and that you prefer to analyse girl groups), but i would really like to hear your opinion about other main vocals. Like H.O.T’s Kangta, Shinhwa’s Hyesung (or Minwoo), TVXQ’s Jaejoong and Changmin (or Junsu), Super Junior’s Yesung, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun, SHINee’s Jonghyun (or Jinki), EXO’s Kyungsoo, Baekhyun and Chen, NCT’s Taeil, Doyoung and Haechan, then finally RIIZE’s Sohee. I know that have I listed a handful of artists and that it takes A LOT OF TIME to analyse them. But I really love SM groups (not SM Ent. cause most of the time they suck) and I would give EVERYTHING to see your opinion about them.

The sad truth is: kpop fans dont want live vocals. Its the imperfections that make a live performance feel genuine. Fans are ready to jump on anything thats not 100% perfect. If you are an idol with a lot of dept; even if you are capable. Why risk it?

Tbh, i feel bad for these idols because I know they're somehow talented but couldn't just showcase it all due to the song and choreography choices of the company. Like how can you sing well while doing hard choreos? How can you belt out those high notes when doing difficult movements? I mean there are idols who can do that but there are also some idols who naturally gets out of breath easily. I think here comes the advantage of having own producers in a group? For example I watched the livestream of my fave group producing a song and while toplining, one of the producers of the group suggested a line which require a tricky breathing technique. Producer 2 of the group pointed out "is it possible to sing that live? Aren't you going to be out of breath?" Producer 1 then demonstrated the proper breathing technique to deliver that line. That's the only time producer 2 agreed and they applied it to the song. I thought at that time, this type of producers is probably what every kpop group need nowadays 😅 the type that will consider the idols circumstances when performing the song live.

I had the privilege of attending five of Nmixx's univ festival performances on the spot and all the live vocals they served without MR... and of course they sound nothing like those gnarly MR removed vids lol. They are not a good material at all.

This software is not perfect. It capture vocal sound from all sound that mix together. If you trained listener, you don't need this software. I am audio amplifier designer, an electronic and embedded engineer. If this software used by professional then it is OK, because professional can interpreted the result properly. It will be controversy if amateur interpreted the result. For train your ear, you need good equipment, like good player (DAC, CD player, phono player), amplifier, speaker or headphone. You need listen many good recordings and acoustics music instruments play directly without sound system (unplug). So you can compare the timbre, dynamic range, attack time, release time, decay time. You learn the quality of studio microphone and live microphone. You should able to know which is backtrack vocal and which is live vocal ONLY BY LISTENING. I don't watch MR Removed videos and I don't care about amateur opinion.

and sadly most K-pop concerts also use pre-recorded vocals layered on the backtrack which cannot be removed by MR software. MR Software like utagoe and audacity only filter the original track/studio version not the prerecorded

i actually really like how sm does it, where sm artists (usually) only sing when paid to preserve their vocals... esp when the songs performed are vocally challenging.. granted we KNOW they can sing if they choose to.

I've seen them come up in my feed but I've never clicked on them because I wasn't sure what they were and didn't want to waste my time. Glad I never did because they sound like crap. I don't like hearing the pre-recorded vocals on "live" performances because I think it's cheating. If they want to SING then they should cut down on some of the intense choreography. Otherwise just lip sync. I noticed in your "real live vocals" section the groups weren't doing much if any dancing. On an unrelated note - I really like the music in the intervals between sections of this video.

The saddest part is that so many kids actually believe they removed the MR when they only removed half of their voice and the background noise. Only the original creator of the song, can remove MR.
